FAST; QUITE; NO VIBRATION; ECONOMICAL; KNOWN STRENGTH:  the perfect driven pile.  Helical piles are screwed into the ground.  There is no hammer induced noise or vibration.  Soil is not augered out of the ground, so no spoils that require handling or disposal.  Pile capacity can be determined during installation by measuring installation torque.

Where helical pile deep foundations excel:

  • Expansive soils.  Foundations where soils  expand and contract with moisture are a classic application for helical piers.
  • Soft ground.  Where the ground is too soft to support the foundation helical piles can extend down to solid ground and provide you  solid non-settling support.
  • Limited access.  It does not take large equipment to installed helical piles.  Helical pile deep foundations can be installed in areas impossible for other deep foundations.
  • Lower Cost.  The equipment and crew required for helical piles is much smaller than other foundation systems.  As a result helical piles can be much cheaper to install.
  • Speed.  Helical piles install quickly.  Helical piles can support loads immediately allowing other construction activities to start right away.
